Tours
RATES/FEES
- Volun-tourism- Experience what it’s like to live and work on an herb farm… everyday is a bit different! You might find yourself helping to harvest a patch of spearmint or picking chamomile flowers before heading in to the drying loft and breathing in all the wonderful smells there.
- History of Soda Experience- Explore the roots of soda as a healthy drink… and where it went off track. We’ll collaborate on a unique soda from Farm-fresh ingredients and taste it together. You’ll leave knowing how to make your own fresh sodas at home.
- Heal Local Experience- Make your own infused oil or vinegar made with Farm-fresh picked ingredients.
- Build your Own!- we will work with you to build a tour immersion that can focus on biodynamica/chemical-free farming methods, specific health issues (digestion, hormonal balance, sleep, arthritis, etc.), specific health preparations (ex. Fire Cider) and MORE!! Just ask…
Drivers and tour guides for charter buses receive complimentary tour.
You are welcome to build lunch into any of the above experiences upon request at a typical cost of $20/person
Homeschool Groups Are Special To Us!
We homeschool our own kids, so we love to host homeschool groups.
Cost: $6/child, $5/child if you have a group of 15 or more
Programs:
History of Soda
Come learn about the history of the soda fountain and sodas. Why are they considered to be bad for us and what can we do to still have fun and also make healthy choices? Together we’ll make a healthy soda, talk about some good sugar options and then we’ll drink our creation!
*activity is gluten free, nut free, dairy free, soy free
Maximum Capacity: Once we get over 10, it is best to split into two groups to come through the cafe. The pricing will hold as a group discount, even if there are multiple “classes” in the same day. Each child will have their own seat at the bar and the group will have an area to move about that is separate from our retail store’s operations.
Time: Plan for 1.5 to 2 hours with time to socialize, ask questions and explore the farm.
*We love creating customized programs! Ask us about programs that include:
Growing and Using Plants for Health
Basic Botany
Making Your Own Tea Blends (Tea Party!)
PARKING
As a small farm we have limited parking facilities. We can accommodate tour buses, but vehicle parking is limited based upon weather. Please carpool and arrive promptly.
WHAT TO WEAR
Make sure you come prepared to walk in any kind of weather. We’ll try to adjust the tour based on the weather, but sometimes nature provides a little rain, some mud or summer heat. Don’t forget that the bees continue to work hard during tours. Please leave the perfume at home.
FACILITES
Restrooms are available, but the farm is not ADA accessible. Wheel chairs and walkers may have very limited mobility. Remember…this is a working farm with equipment, animals and honeybees. Use great care as you tour.
RESERVATIONS
To schedule a guided tour, please call Carson at 614.354.5163. Many events on the farm are established nearly a year in advance, so calendar dates fill up quickly. Just reserve your date to see all the farm has to offer!
